Can someone in reciept of DLA receive help with their energy bills?

I know that you can receive housing and council tax benefits but never heard of getting gas and electricity discounted. How much help you are entitled (e.g. HB and CTB) to depends on what level of DLA you receive and and whether your DLA is based on mobility or care as the higher level you are the more you are entitled to. I'm uming you have a benefits advisor who you could ask. If not you could contact the disability benefits central unit on 0845 7123456 and they should be able to advise you.
