How can I hide/heal a fever blister on my bottom lip?

Hey guys, I've been getting cold sores since I was real little, maybe every 3-4 months one would pop up. Yesterday out of nowhere I felt the little tingling sensation in the middle of my bottom lip, right away I put some quantum lysine cream on it. (Use to use Abreva but I felt for the price, it wasn't doing anything special) I also read good reviews on how the lysine pills help as well, so I went out and bought those too. Last night I took 1 pill as soon as I bought them, and applied the cream a total of 5 times yesterday. Today, I took the pills and have continued to put the cream on. It still has gotten pretty big, and is a blister, but remains unpopped. I know its better if it doesn't pop, because its easier to heal. What else can I be doing to get this thing to go away? I also want to know if theres anything I can use to hide/cover up the blister, which is in the middle of my bottom lip. Any advice would be greatly appriciated. Thanks
