I have a Ktm 380 SX 2 stroke and the locking paul broke on the kickstart and we fixed it and now..........?

Ans we put it back together and now when you put it in gear and try to move it like pull start it the kick start moves as if your kicking it like it goes down when you move it if its in gear Is there any motocross / dirt bikers that can help?
