Do cautions get wiped after a certain period of time?

I've applied for a place on a teaching course, and this requires you to have a CRB check. When I was 18 I was cautioned. Do cautions come off after five years? It's not for anything that serious, but it is worrying me so much I am starting to lose sleep!! It has been almost five years since the incident. Can anyone help? Thanks
