Just moved looking for employment (I'm 16 and in Michigan of all places)?

Hi, I moved to a new town in Michigan, and I'm looking for employment.Here's a little background. I used to work construction for a family friend (best job ever, but its not relevant) I'm looking for possible employment ...well, anywhere. I've filled out over 10 applications to various locations like Arby's,Big Boy,Taco bell, etc. And I haven't heard anything. I dont know anyone and it'd be weird to go to peoples door's and ask them if they need help but that's my next step....Anyone have a possible solution or anything helpful? Thanks James.
