Ubuntu through XP to Internet?

I have dialup internet that my mom uses her Windows XP Home PC on, and I was wondering if it is possible if I can use a crossover cable connecting my Ubuntu 8.04 to the Windows XP, and then be able to surf the internet and download what I need, without directly connecting. Any help?
