Why are people so pathetic and why can't some can't accept that Obama will be the President of the U.S?

I sometimes go to Greta Van Susteren's blog and it is simply sad to see how conservatives are talking about Obama, his wife and even his kids. They call the kids awful name on the blog. But what's mind blowing is how Greta condone it. But when someone says something about Palin, she comes back on the thread to personally respond to that person. Greta along with her worshipers are beating up on Obama on every occasion. It's like Obama is already President. Some even say they wish for his total failure so they can prove that Black people can do no good (from bloggers)! Are these people Americans? Why would someone want a whole country to fail just because you don't one person for his skin color?
